2010 TAKE TIME TO GIVE ANNUAL CHARITY
Our House, a shelter for the working homeless in Little Rock, is our 2010 Take Time To Give primary charity. Our House provides the families and individuals with safe, clean, comfortable housing, food, free child care, education (more than 20 different courses), and job training in order that they may return to independence and lead productive lives.
The organization operates an 80-bed shelter, a 39-bed family housing program (18 family rooms), an education and job training center, a free childcare center, and a feeding program that serves more than 55,000 meals per year. Its long-term, community-based approach is the only program in Arkansas that provides housing for the whole family, reaching clients from across the state. The Our House model has been replicated by 39 states.
