Impressionism is an expression of the world at a particular moment in time. This workshop not only explores the science of color theory and the lives of artists, but also the historical context in which artists looked at the world through dashes of pigment. Teachers will learn how to blend history, science and art-making practices of the day through hands-on experiences. Teachers will earn 6 professional development credits for attending this Academy. Cost for the Academy is $60, and lunch will be provided. To Register, click on the Art Classes link to the left. Use the Art Class registration form and enter the name and date of the academy in the Class Code Box. For more information, call 501-372-4000.
